Catamount Womenaid

Board of Directors

Deb Horton

President & Founder. Deb lives in Deerfield. She is a social worker to whom service to the community has always been a priority. She learned about Womenaid when she applied as a validator to a different Womenaid and recognized how a small amount of money made such a difference. When Deb searched for a Womenaid in Deerfield and realized there was none, she recruited a group of dedicated women and formed a women-led board to create Catamount Womenaid. In her free time, Deb hangs out with her family.

Fran Miller

Fran is a retired special education teacher and administrator who holds an M.S. from the University of Tennessee. Fran lives in Deerfield with her husband and enjoys reading, gardening, knitting, spending time with grandchildren and volunteering. “Working with Catamount Womenaid allows me to serve local communities while having lots of fun at our fundraising events.” Fran is a diligent board member and has been involved since 2011.

Donna Keeley

Vice President. Donna lives in Pittsfield. She began her career with the utility industry in Customer Service and never looked back. Her passion in life is serving people, helping them problem solve and figuring out a resolution, no matter what it takes. She has been an active member of the Suncook Rotary Club for many years and excited to be able to assist her neighbors with the Catamount Womenaid board.

Laurie Bienefeld

Treasurer. Laurie lives in Deerfield with her husband. She is the Director of Finance at Northeast Delta Dental in Concord NH. A graduate of Franklin Pierce College, Laurie has been active with many nonprofits. She was a 2015-2016 Hoffman-Haas Fellow through NH Nonprofits and she is active with The New England Women’s Leadership Institute. Laurie enjoys hiking and biking with her husband and their daughter in her free time.

Debbie Kelley

Debbie Kelley has called NH home for her entire life. She and her husband Skip live in Deerfield, where they raised their four children and are active members of the community. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Education, Debbie taught at Deerfield Community School for many years before ‘retiring’. Debbie found retirement was not her thing and became a successful NH Realtor in 2012 at Verani Realty. She also went on to become elected as a member of the Deerfield School Board. Debbie’s hobbies include traditional rug hooking, photography, and socializing with her children, their spouses, her seven grandchildren, and her friends.

Michele Clark

Michele Clark moved to NH in 2018. Her professional career has focused on international human rights, specifically on the challenges facing women, and on combating human trafficking. After teaching for ten years at the George Washington University in Washington DC, she now enjoys living in Epsom with her husband and their two big dogs. When not volunteering, she hikes and pursues her love of art. Her commitment to community engagement brought her to Catamount Womenaid where she is thrilled to be serving with such dedicated, funny and smart women.
